Doubletree By Hilton Coventry Hotel

We had a pleasant stay at the doubletree, where the friendly staff made us feel welcome right from the start. our room was spacious and the bathroom had a nice feel to it. we enjoyed a good meal in the restaurant, with quality food and attentive service. the warm swimming pool and gym were a great addition and relaxing overall.

Had lots of options for breakfast, it was savoury.

Peaceful location for my purpose, clean place. Units for a robe. Plenty of goodies for breakfast. Location right by amenities-supermarket restaurants. Such a real good stay for a further night.

The spa facilities were overcrowded, while the attentive staff made our stay enjoyable.

Evening dinner menu. Whilst the quality of the food was good, there was a fixed single price - £23.95 - which was charged no matter how many courses you had. So if you have a small appetite, and only wanted one course it still costs you £23.95 - which works out very expensive. A pity, given the quality of the food, which was a cut above other large chains such as Holiday Inns, Menzies, etc. A snack menu was available in the bar area, again this was good quality. Mattress in my room was old, extremely hard and uncomfortable. Refurb needed. Large water leak from under my bath (Room 325) which flooded the room when showering, and had clearly been there a long time because it had caused the wooden bath panel to become badly rotten over time.

We stayed in a hotel for one night... The bed's good, there's all the toiletries except toothpaste... The hotel also has a pool and sauna, which is very nice.

Breakfast is not included in the room rate.

Decent sized & brand-new rooms with a great shower. Very efficient and outstandingly helpful staff, excellent location not far from the Ricoh Arena, 13 -15min drive, and a large Tesco a cinema and restaurants. Plus, walking distance to Showcase Cinemas Coventry.

Value for money as we booked through a last minute website and with today's prices for hotels of this calibre, we thought it good value.

Nothing. All fine (apart from a rowdy party taking place on the Saturday evening!)

Being charged for parking in the hotels huge car park. There being a charge for the wireless internet connection (Days inn £29.99 has free connection,along with coffe shops, burgar bars etc. etc ) its time Hilton joined the 21 century. Their being an offer on giveing customers a free dinner on the 1st night, because we booked in advance we paid more and were not entitled to this particular perk "New customers only"

Room was spacious and clean, but checkout process was confusing and frustrating.

Easy Location to get to

Having to pay £5 to park the car is not really acceptable. In a city centre location perhaps, but not on a business park.
